Paralegal Express, operating The Next Paralegal, is the data controller for student account and learning information. Contact jynessalewis@gmail.com for privacy questions or requests.

We process your name, email and authentication information to create and secure your account; lesson completion, quiz answers and scores, submissions, feedback and certificates to deliver training; support messages and refund requests to respond to you; and technical information such as IP addresses, device details and error or access logs for service operation and security. Payment card information is handled by Paddle, not collected through our account forms.

We process account, learning and support data to perform our agreement with you; security and operational records for legitimate interests in providing a reliable service; legally required financial records to meet legal obligations; and optional consent-based processing only where consent is obtained. We do not sell your personal data.

Authorized administrators access student records for teaching and support. Hosting, authentication and other service providers process data for operation of the program. Paddle, our Merchant of Record, receives data necessary for sales, payments, tax compliance, refunds and invoicing. We may share necessary records with professional legal or accounting advisers or authorities when required by law. Public certificate verification displays the holder’s name, issue date and certificate validity.

Account and learning records are kept while your account is active to provide ongoing access. Account deletion removes your profile, learning records, portfolio and public certificate verification data. Financial records are retained only for applicable legal, tax and accounting obligations, then deleted or anonymized when no longer required. Operational and support records are retained only while needed for their stated purposes or legal obligations.

You can update account information, export available personal data and portfolio work, and request deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, restriction, portability or object to processing, withdraw consent where relied upon, and complain to a relevant privacy authority. We use appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections and restricted access to student records. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Essential browser storage and authentication cookies keep you signed in and support checkout. You can manage browser storage in your browser settings; disabling it may prevent sign-in or payment. This notice does not authorize optional marketing or analytics tracking without any consent required by law.
